Can't shake the feeling that a few moments were stolen directly from you previous series, Dead Detention, such as it taking place in yet another school, the female lead saving the male lead right at the start and the formation of a trio with a younger blonde girl (shades of Sora?). But you did give us a little swerve at the end where Rose got kidnapped, think it would be cool doing a .5 side-game detailing what happened to her while the two other characters were surviving from the aliens.

I appreciate switching to the page format for your game, sometimes I'd accidentally click with my mouse too hard and it would skip me a couple of scenes on your older games but now I can just flip back conveniently, it's saved me a bunch of reloads. The mini-games are still meh, clicking a glowing ball a handful of times or dragging an icon to its destination isn't exactly riveting, but your games focus more on telling a story than with gameplay.

Looks cool despite all of that, I'm curious as to why these aliens are looking for some substance on Earth and where you'll be taking this storyline from here.

JackAstral responds:

Yeah this episode relied a little on Dead Detention #1's structure - I just wanted to play it kinda safe and get the story off to a good start. Future episodes don't though !

Thanks! The substance they're looking for will be revealed in episode 2 ;-)

Looks pretty cool, there's a big and noticeable difference between the original series's first episode and this one, this new season looks like it'll be more polished, intricate with the collectibles, will have some more themes to it's soundtrack and so on.

There were at least a few parts where you mistakenly wrote "to" instead of "too" but that's me just nitpicking, i found a bit of a glitch, on the ending screen if you open your inventory and plot token tab you won't be able to leave that page.

Keep doing a good job, i'm looking forward to the next episode.

JackAstral responds:

Fixed the resume button thingy!

Nice, the cult storyline is progressing smoothly and you're still bringing new things to the table in the Dead Detention series which is cool.
Here's hoping there's an 3.5 and 4.5 episodes!

JackAstral responds:

Thanks! I'll definitely be doing at least one more :)

Nice and emotional little game, there's not much to do besides walking around a bit and collecting memories but it at least has some nice music at the end of it and gives us some (kind of) philosophical words while our character reminisces about the past.
Felt like a more polished version of another game of yours i played, although i don't really remember how it ended and if it was exactly the same it looks like i had more fun with this one.

That flashlight thing we used to look at stuff was a bit creepy, i kept thinking something would come out and kill me.

JackAstral responds:

Thanks for the detailed review! Probably Cosmo- this is kindaaaaaaaaaa a remake :b

Ah well, i guess not all stories can have a happy ending to them.
I really liked this last episode, it seemed longer, more eventful and it had so many different choices which all unfortunately had terrible consequences.
Glad you put in some new character models and new tracks (the title screen and credits themes were kickass), it helped give it a bigger level of dept that the previous ones didn't really manage to do.

I noticed a little mistake you made, after Shia kills the family and goes over to Ami his text box reads Ami and is in her red colour instead of his dark red colour, minor mistake, nothing much.

Good job and i hope to see some more games from you in the future.

JackAstral responds:

Thanks Radaketor! I'll fix that bug now :)

Simple gameplay with very little difficulty and good sound effects. Weird at first but charming as well.
It was a very nice and powerful message you tried to convey and you did so very well, good job.

trixelbit responds:

Thank you for the kind words!

Pretty cool like the previous installment, it had some grammar flaws here and there but nothing too problematic and the pacing of the story seems to change too quickly (it's still pretty god nonetheless), Ami's too unstable with her emotions, one moment she's caring for the main character's safety and the other she's emotionless and even hates him.
It still has some of the previous game's character designs, it's a shame because i was expecting you to give us some new ones, the art style is pretty nice, the music is alright but hearing it throughout the whole game makes it lose a bit of it's meaning and the story like the last game is interesting and emotional at times.
Looking forward to the last episode of the series, it would be awesome if we had more choices to make than in previous games.

JackAstral responds:

Thanks! I'm uploading a patch now that fixes up a bunch of spelling mistakes. (I always miss tonessss when I proof read :b)

Thank you for the suggestions and the detailed review- I really appreciate it! I'll make sure to include all new character designs in the next chapter, as well as a larger variety of music :)

Felt uninspired for one of your games, it wasn't even that great, just average.
Cool art as always.
The game screen doesn't seem to be correctly adjusted, by the way; the bottom and right parts of the screen were pitch black instead of blending in with the game background.

Munguia responds:

Thanks for play and report the screen, the game is 640x480 but it looks cut when i play it, so i made it bigger, now is normal , tell me if it looks ok this time.

Took me a while to get back to playing this game, i remember that when i started playing it many months ago i really really loved it and it looked awesome.
The story is very interesting, the characters are all likable and look badass, being able to customize your character is a nice touch, the music (although not much) isn't irritating and helps set the mood and the graphics look absolutely amazing.
Today i started playing this game from the start once again determined to finally finish it, i was really disappointed that you decided not to finish the game, it really is one of my favourite games on Newgrounds and i'd love to one day play it to its completion. You mentioned in your author's comments that you made this game by yourself and that it took you years of work to make this which is really impressive.
I seriously think you should maybe create a kickstarter or have patreons to help fund this game, this deserves a much better ending than what we got, i can't see how i could be of any help but if you need someone to give you a hand with stuff i'll help as much as i can.

Seriously hoping we someday get a complete version of this game, good job.

RockLou responds:

Thank you so much for the review!
I love that this game is one of your favourite on Newgrounds! It took a lot of time and effort to make.
I have thought of kickstarter but I don't want the responsibility of that amount of money, and I simply don't have the time to make this a full game.
But I'm glad people already like the game, unfinished as it is.

If people can't play this then why even bother submitting it?
If you wanted people to see how the development of this game was going you should've put this on NG's Dump (http://www.newgrounds.com/dump) and then showed it on a newspost.
