rip zorn you beautiful fiend you were taken away far too soon

did you go off key a few times? sounded like it to my plebian ears, was it intentional? either way makes the whole thing sound a bit psychotic and deranged, just like zorn... brb crying :,(

Weird thing, this song seems like it would be able to fit in several settings in gaming, the little alien voices could go to some spaceship level or to a game with aliens like Alien Hominid while the quote could work for some kind of volcano God boss fight that's about to erupt, then there's also the rhythmic drums which remind me of jungle themes (escaping through the jungle from the cannibal natives levels and such) and at the end when we hear the metallic clanks it sort of reminds of medieval times, like blacksmiths forging a sword in the background while on the foreground all the action is playing.

Great work, man.

TheNGVirus responds:

thank you so much! I can see what you mean! I remember showing you the work in progress version of it, and you mentioned the High Pitch voices!

I hope you enjoyed it, man, and stay tuned for my Second EP/Album "A New World"

I'd say this is a pretty good pilot episode, i'm guessing you were a bit nervous about going solo for the first time but you still did pretty alright.
You forgot to add your voice demo in the description, by the way.

Nice hearing about what inspired you to become what you are today and i'll tune in next time whenever another episode is produced.

TheNGVirus responds:

thank you so much! also, I did forget to put any of the links in the description! they are on their way as we speak!

I'm glad your friend liked my part.
The voice was pretty good but you said in a thread that it can harm your throat and even make it bleed so maybe you shouldn't do it so much anymore, it would be definitely useful for sudden screamers but everyone hates those.
You and your friend could try a podcast sometime, you seem to have natural chemistry.

Vangantem-Militem responds:

He actually suggested a podcast. I can scream for longer than I did, but I was tired because I had been boxing for a while before I recorded, and I didn't pay any mind to it. Because I was tired I didn't bother to find a better place to record. So the reel could have been better than it is.

fyi my friend isn't actually Jewish lol.

Pretty cool vocals with a sick guitar and drums, the beginning and ending before you started singing was maybe a bit too much but i'm sure you had your reasons to do it.
Good job, i'm downloading this song.

Gunshy responds:

Thanks for the stars and the download! :) And yes, this version of the song from my archives was from the whole album of stuff, with some soundscapes kind of running together. I didn't really know I was making a concept album, but I did. I try to create a tableau of consumerism at the very beginning, with shopping carts, cash registers, and little digitized drops of rain, perhaps heralding a flood. It's crazy, I know. But that's what it is. I think if I re-record it I'll drop the tableau and just get on with it ;)

Very lively and melodic.
Sounds like something that would play at the ending credits of movies, maybe if you had added your voice to this piece it would've worked even better.

CarlTheVoiceactor responds:

Thanks for the review!

I'm actually thinking of extending this and adding lyrics to it, but I've had some writer's block on that and haven't done much with it. But keep an eye out because that may show up some time in the future! Thanks for the suggestion, glad you enjoyed ^.^!

Very catchy like the original but it just felt like something was missing.

Sounds good!
It sounds like it's the evolution of video game music, it starts 8-bit then slowly gets more complicated until it reaches the modern music genre at the end.

TheNGVirus responds:

Well that's kind of the story.. But thanks!
Get ready for Part 2, cause it's coming soon!

The music felt slow and monotonous after a while and there were also a bunch of clipping noises here and there.

DESHIEL responds:

Travelin back in time aintcha ;)

The instrumentals were pretty good, the vocals not so much.
I enjoyed the parts where you were basically whispering to us, though. I think you just need to work on your emotion while singing the rest of the song.
